  5. The One Ring: Realms of the Three Rings

Top News Stories

Polygon sold to Valnet; tabletop correspondent laid off: Pretty much like the tin says, Polygon has been gobbled up by a company that even Ars Technica says has a reputation for “exploitative work conditions and quick-churn, clickbait content.” Charlie Hall, the tabletop correspondent there, was pretty much immediately laid off per a Bluesky post. The linked thread has it right, at least there’s still Rascal. And us, one supposes.

From the Archives

Seeing as how Bundle of Holding is doing one of its revivals, it’s a good time to check out our reviews of The Pirates of Drinax and the Drinaxian Companion for Traveller.

It’s also May 4th, so if you’re looking to do some Star Wars roleplaying but need some quick ideas, consider heading to Nar Shaddaa, grabbing a drink at the Astrogation Glitch, founding a Wild Space colony, trying to unite a divided Rebellion, or picking a fight with the Inquisitorius!

Discussion of the Week

TTRPG Tasting Flights: This one is just kind of fun to read, especially when people get into ‘tasting notes’.

“A tasting flight is something you order at a bar: 4-6 different drinks of what;s usually a wider range to help people figure out what they like.

So, for ttrpgs, what six systems would you include in a tasting flight of one shots?”
