Dungeons & Dragons Returns to Universal Studios Hollywood: MARKETING AND MONEY! MONEY AND MARKETING!

From the Archives

Games are shaped by the table they’re played at, but all the people at that table are in constant conversation with both each other and all the games they play, learn, and read. From the archives this week is Gaming groups and the social ‘system’, an unusual pick due to its youth (less than a year old), but entirely apropos for the conversation that’s been happening in TTRPG social media this week.

Discussion of the Week

As seen from our archive pick this week, Bluesky is talking “System Matters/Doesn’t Matter” again, and while I don’t mind cyclical conversations, I do find character limit conversations to be a bit frustrating. Rob Donoghue agrees with me, albeit in a somewhat tortured way. Rob’s 33-post thread is probably the best place to start (and for most people, also end) in getting caught up to what the nerds are going on about.
