Jennell Jaquays hospitalized with Guillain-Barré syndrome, raising money to cover medical costs: Jennell Jaquays is one of the masters of early dungeon design, to the point that her last name has been used as a verb in some circles. Thanks to the American healthcare system she’s now facing an expensive recovery from Guillain-Barre syndrome, a neurological autoimmune disorder. Both contributions and just spreading the word will help Jennell pay for her recovery and support a legend in the industry.

Where are all the people who play all these niche systems?: It is pretty easy for me to just say Maybe Don’t Play D&D when I have a group that, in addition to having no interest in D&D, is willing to try pretty much anything we bring to the table (including even the Dallas Television RPG, as I recently discovered). This discussion is a good landscape of how gamers are getting their niche, vintage, and indie fix, both within their personal groups and without.
