Discussion of the Week

I’m giving up on people who “have always wanted to try” RPGs: I empathize with this poster, though I don’t particularly agree. It’s an interesting discussion, though, because it does emphasize that RPGs are a hobby that require a bit more commitment than either board games or, that thing we actually seem to define ‘nerds’ by these days, media consumption. In my personal opinion, though, you can either participate in the hobby broadly, or have a closed table with just you and your friends, but not really both.
