DriveThruRPG Top Sellers for 9/20/2025

  1. Cyberpunk RED: Single Player Mode
  2. Marvel Multiverse RPG Avengers Expansion
  3. Marvel Multiverse RPG Spider-verse Expansion
  4. Marvel Multiverse RPG Core Rule Book
  5. Daggerheart Corebook

From the Archives

The breakout hit on the DriveThruRPG charts this week is Cyberpunk RED Single Player Mode, which is exactly what it sounds like: rules and prompts to solo play Cyberpunk Red. While solo rules for trad games aren’t a new thing, seeing a major publisher both release them as a standalone product and then seeing that standalone product sell so well so quickly is a strong indication of how integral solo roleplaying has become to the hobby. From the archives this week we have not one article, but the entire Solitaire Storytelling category. If you want to get started in solo gaming, we have some great suggestions for you.

Discussion of the Week

I feel like dnd isn’t super beginner friendly: In some circles you hear it over and over again, but the fact is that D&D has never been beginner friendly, and that fact sometimes gets in the way of marketing it to more people. Thread has some good alternative suggestions, as well as discussion of where D&D falls, complexity-wise, among the RPG pantheon.
