Top News Stories
Wyrmwood lays off 50% of its workforce: This is perhaps a niche story even within the RPG world, but if you’ve ever browsed expensive RPG accessories on Kickstarter you’re probably familiar with Wyrmwood and their multi-thousand dollar gaming tables. Of course, you may also be familiar with Wyrmwood thanks to sexual assault allegations and a damning report by Gizmodo back in 2023 regarding their heinous work culture. Either way, laying off half your staff right before Christmas is a pretty bad move and we hope the affected employees can get back on their feet quickly.
From the Archives
When Cannibal Halfling Gaming started, Seamus had the opportunity to take his entire backlog of articles from the Mad Adventurers Society and rehome them, saving them from that website’s eventual shutdown. And every year, about this time, one of these vintage Meet the Party articles pops up in popularity. Of course, if you never went to look for it, you might not know it’s there, so we’re uncovering it for all of you. From the archives this week we have Meet the Party: D&D Christmas Edition. A fun way to mix your gaming and holiday cheer in late December.
Discussion of the Week
What are your hidden gems of 2024?: I know, second week in a row for a 2024 review thread, but I’m neck-deep in discussions like this, looking for games I missed this year. His Majesty the Worm, mentioned in the top comment, will likely be on my list for next year.
