Discussion of the Week

How do I get me players to actually read the rules?: Interesting discussion in this thread! In part because the premise is not a given. You don’t get to give homework as a GM, and the degree to which you expect a person to understand a game before they show up is a matter of taste (and honestly said person always has more control over it than you do). In my experience, games that are easier to learn, either from a book or at the table in the first couple of sessions, are more fun to play.
