Top News Stories

It’s Mothership Month on Backerkit: While this is skirting a bit closer to product announcement than we typically aim for with news, Backerkit and Tuesday Knight Games have come together to make November Mothership Month, and there’s a whole slew of Mothership-based crowdfunding campaigns up on the site. Leading the charge is first-party supplement Wages of Sin, a campaign guide for bounty hunting in the world of Mothership. There are 20 other campaigns to check out, and you have 24 days before Mothership Month is off for another orbit.

From the Archives

It’s not a very deep pull from the archives, but given that it’s Mothership Month, it’s an appropriate time to look at Cannibal Halfling’s own examination of space survival/horror. From the archives this week is System Split: Death in Space and Mothership. Both Tuesday Knight Games and Stockholm Kartell have put forth some solid space gaming, and while Mothership is fan favorite for a reason they’re both worth checking out.

Discussion of the Week

My Home Group is Just Finishing Up A “Campaign” of Good Society and It Was Profoundly Emotional and Something I’m Not Sure I’ll Ever Experience with Another RPG: The dramatic potential of RPGs is something that can’t be overstated. Our own home group has experienced this time and time again, first with Masks, then with DIE, and most recently with a heartwrenching playthrough of Back Again From The Broken Land. This Reddit post shares another group’s experience with emotional gaming, this time aided by Good Society, Storybrewers’ game of Regency drama.
