PAX Unplugged is going on now!: Starting yesterday and going to Sunday, PAX Unplugged is happening now at the Philadelphia Convention Center. Seamus and Aki are both there, scoping out the latest games and game happenings. The first whirlwind tour of CHG featured games went up overnight, and expect to hear more both as the con continues and after the show ends. And hey, go check out Games on Demand in Room 107 if you have the time and want to play some cool games (and maybe meet some cool people, I don’t know).

You might not know this, but Cannibal Halfling Gaming is actually older than PAX Unplugged. From the archives this weekend we check out Seamus going to PAX Unplugged when it was brand new, back in 2017. As you might be able to tell, things have changed quite a bit since then, both for the con itself as well as the whole industry.
Discussion of the Week
As we approach the year’s end, what gets your vote for best product released in 2024?: It’s time to start trolling for year-end lists; as gamers we only have so much attention span, and hearing what other people played and enjoyed this year is one of the best ways we have to figure out what we need to start taking a look at next year. This list didn’t catch me off guard completely, which is good, but there are definitely some entrants which I need to cast an eye towards in 2025.
