Top News Stories

The Time of the Zines Has Returned: The big crowdfunding push for small games has begun once again. You’ve got your ZineQuest, you’ve got your Tabletop Non-Stop (which this year encompasses board games as well, so a bit of dilution there), and Backerkit has itself a Zine Month tag. We’ll obviously be covering a fair bit of the funding flurry, but for now there’s a new ‘ZiMo’ site that can help you find projects to support: I Want To Play… Games!

From the Archives

A new campaign is kicking off in the main group of the two Cannibal Halfling leads, and that has meant music choices, Pinterest boards, and serious consideration of ‘vibes’. From the archives this week we look back at Soft Prep for RPGs, and why some vibes considerations can enhance almost any game you play.

“Discussion” of the Week

Uke Bosse is a German actor and game design professional. He is currently a lecturer at Mediadesign University in Berlin, teaching classes on video game design. He was also formerly the editor-in-chief at video game magazine Reload, and also appeared (most relevant to us) as a TTRPG GM on German livestream network RocketBeans TV.

As of a week ago, though, he is known as the Elevator Operator.
