Top News Stories

The Solo But Not Alone 4 Bundle has passed its first goal of $20,000, raising funds for mental health charity Take This, and immediately kept going for a new target of $30,000! There’s just shy of a month left for people to get 125 solo roleplaying games for as little as $10. Sounds like an overwhelming number of games to sort through? A common bundle problem. Luckily, Take This themselves have created this fine and elegantly crafted spreadsheet

From the Archives

Over at Humble Bundle R. Talsorian is doing a mixed bundle of Cyberpunk Red and Cyberpunk 2020. What’s more, they’re including early access to Interface Red Volume 3, which has new rules for full-conversion borgs. We’ve talked a lot about Cyberpunk Red here (we’ve been playing a lot of it too), so from the archives we’re pulling our own mix of Cyberpunk Red and Cyberpunk 2020, our Cyberpunk Red House Rules article where Aaron released an updated Red-compatible version of the Blackhammer Project Cyberpunk Luck Deck.

Discussion of the Week

I wasn’t a “roleplayer” in the traditional sense: There are lots of stories like the OP in this post, of people realizing what they actually get out of RPGs and that their favorite parts may run counter to what they thought. The discussion around this post, though, is a great collection of anecdotes about people realizing what they really wanted to do with the hobby; often posters having opposite reactions in the same thread. There is so much that tabletop gaming has to offer, even (especially) beyond first impressions and assumptions.
