The Tendril Access Processor, generally shortened to TAP and called Interface Zero by its creators, has allowed the people of the world to plug their brains right into the net, creating a new era of inter-connectivity complete with all-new dangers. The human genome has been molded and tweaked, leading to the creation of enhanced humans, vat-grown simulacra, and animal hybrids. Technology has allowed others to enhance themselves with augmentations, while at the same time creating full androids that can, with the right spark, think for themselves. National borders have collapsed or shifted, and the corporations have risen to power. The year is 2090. Good luck. You’ll need it.

The Independents: Palace of the Lich Queen (Pathfinder)

Your heroes arrive at the bottom of the stairs and gaze out across a giant cavern. On the other side is the palace of Arawyn, the Lich Queen of Paxectal, the target of your quest. You are here to bring her reign to an end, to halt her devouring of souls. But it will not be a simple walk to the great building. The cavern floor is covered in seething energy and shifting images, each a window into a different realm. The only way to the palace is to go through them, stumbling from world to world, hoping you can survive whatever awaits within each. And beyond them the palace itself must still be overcome, along with its half-mad ruler.

Dawn is rising in the realms, and you have an appointment with undead royalty. Take your first step.

The Independents: Amidst Endless Quiet

Here at The Independents we aim to highlight some of these games, for a change of pace and a new (and great) experience!

Somewhere in the vast universe of the far future a sentient starship plies its trade, moving goods and cryogenically frozen passengers through the void to new worlds. This is such a feat that only extremely valuable cargo (material and personnel both) is worthy of being transported. Alas, disaster strikes, and the destruction of the ship is imminent.

One of you is the ship. You cannot be saved. But some of your cargo might.

The rest are the passengers. There is a single escape pod, room for one.
